Shippensburg Borough Manager Earl Parshall announced his immediate resignation during Borough Council’s meeting Wednesday.
His resignation was unanimously approved by council 4-0. He declined to make any further comments to Public Opinion on Thursday.
There was no discussion from council about his decision, according to president Andrea Lage, but his work for council was acknowledged. Parshall had served as borough manager since July 2009 and he previously served council on West End’s seat.
Nicole Bard, borough office manager, was appointed to serve as interim borough manager, according to Lage.
